  1. Is Lavender an Herb?
    1. A common unknown fact about lavender is — it IS an herb. 

  2. Isn't Lavender used only for soaps and lotions?

    1. No. There are a mulitude of uses for lavender such as healing for cuts, scrapes, acne, an aid for calming and sleeping, herbal uses in cooking, potpourri and decorations for the home to name a few. The uses are only limited by one's imagination.

  3. Do you have regular tours at the Farm?
    1. We provide private tours by appointment. There is also opportunities to experience overnights on the farm in rental cottages. 

  4. When is the best time of year to schedule a tour?
    1. The best time to visit Honey Creek Farm to view all the Lavender in bloom is between the end of April through July. Harvest occurs from June to July, depending on variety. Some varieties bloom several times until the fall.

  5. How many types of lavender are there?
    1. According to the United States Lavender Association there are 45 different species with over 450 varieties. However, more lavender species have yet to be classified. 

  6. How many varieties are grown at Honey Creek Farm?
    1. Honey Creek Farm grows eleven different varieties of Lavender with nearly 700 plants.
